The festive period saw the number of mobile users of Facebook’s website surpass the 300 million milestone, according to Enders Analysis analyst Benedict Evans.
Citing data obtained from Facebook, Evans notes that 70% of mobile users and 30% of all Facebook users now use applications to access Facebook; in terms of daily usage, Android overtook Apple but as it happened this week, iOS has been the more popular platform during the last year.

RIM’s BlackBerry platform also reports a high level of Facebook usage, which could be due to the platform’s popularity amongst the 18-24 years old age group.
