Google officially extended its news reader service Google Play Newsstand in India, Russia, Spain and Netherlands today.
Among the Indian publications that will be offered include Times Internet’s Indiatimes, Zigwheels, Luxpresso, Healthmeup, MensXP, iDiva, NDTV’s NDTV Movies, NDTV Gadgets, NDTV Sports, Anandabazar Patrika’s ABP News & ABP Majha, Missmalini.com, HT Media’s Mint, Hindustan Times & Desimartini, Jagran, ESPN Cricinfo and TV9 Telugu.
Magazines include India Today, Vogue India, GQ India, Cosmopolitan India and Business Today.

Bing Vision is being dumbed down with each successive Windows Phone update it is receiving. This sounds really awkward, it’s the first time I’m reporting on a feature being devolved. Bing Vision if you know about it is a little eye like icon that appears below when you hit the search icon on the phone and reach for Bing.
On Windows Phone 8 it was supposed to be essentially what Amazon Fire Phone offers today with it’s dedicated button. Bing Vision would scan barcodes, QR codes, Microsoft tags, books, Cds and DVDs and fetch information regarding it. Facebook is urging its users to download the Messenger app on their smartphone to continue to be able to chat with each other as it looks to pull the plug on the feature in the Facebook app. This means that social network messaging service will become a standalone feature accessible only through a dedicated app.
All of this will happen in the coming week itself. While one will continue to see pending message notification in the Facebook app, tapping it will take users straight to the Messenger app.
