iOS5.1.1 untethered jailbreak released with new iPad, iPhone 4S support

by Nirave26 May 2012

The long awaited untethered jailbreak for Apple’s iOS5.1.1 has been released this week, with support for the majority of devices including the iPhone 4S and new iPad but not this year’s version of the iPad 2 which utilises a different processor.

The jailbreak has been made available after works by the Chronic-Dev Team and iPhone Dev Team and the Absinthe 2.0 tool is available to download via the source link before.

As always, we are not responsible for any damage caused to your smartphone and applying a jailbreak to your device may invalidate your manufacturer’s warranty.
