RIM goes from bad to worse, hit with lawsuit over patent infringement

by Nirave3 April 2012

Yup good old Research In Motion just can’t catch a break; following from their dismal financial results last week, the BlackBerry-maker has been hit with a patent infringement lawsuit by Dutch company NXP.

The company claim that RIM infringe upon six of their patents surrounding smartphones and are requesting compensatory damages. The company are also hoping to have RIM stop the infringement, which could lead to either a licensing deal for the patents or RIM being forced to remove devices from sale.
