Galaxy S II beats records, sells 3 million devices in 55 days

by Nirave5 July 2011

Most people will have heard of the Samsung Galaxy SII, whether via the numerous articles, our review or via Samsung’s heavy marketing campaign and the Galaxy SII has converted a lot of people I know to Android.

With such anticipated wait for the device, it was always going to sell pretty well but the actual figures, as released by Samsung, show just how well it has sold.

In the 55 days since launch, the Galaxy S II has sold over 3 million units; approximately 50,000 phones a day with most being bought in Europe.

The Galaxy S II is yet to go on sale in the US, and it can’t be long until it beats the 10 million device record set by its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S. You can read our review of the Galaxy S II here.
