It’s been a little quiet here but all is about to become clear. For those of you who follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you may have read last week that I’m leaving TechView. It’s taken a few days to sort out my next move but the time has now come to make the move official – beginning today, I’m no longer part of TechView and will be European Editor for FoneArena.
The past three and a half years at the helm of this exciting brand have been interesting, rewarding, exhilarating and absolutely outstanding. At the beginning, I was a retail worker with a vision of talking about tech and now I am a web developer in my day job and a [...]
A current trend in technology is for companies to release two flagship devices each year – one for the first half of the year and one for the second – and Sony is no different.
Over the past two years, the Sony Xperia range has grown rapidly and in the Xperia Z3, Sony have a device that is finally firing on all cylinders. Whilst past Xperia flagships have lacked on a feature or two, the Xperia Z3 seemingly ticks all the boxes.
With a feature packed specs list, excellent design, seriously durable abilities and claims of two days battery life, the Xperia Z3 offers everything you’re looking for in a smartphone.
Is it as good as Sony claims? [...]
Apple’s BIG iPad Event is just about to kick off and as always, the company will have a live stream (although it’ll hopefully be much better than the iPhone 6 livestream which broken every minute!)

So that’s what going to be announced – here’s how to watch it live:On a Mac / iOS device:

For those of you who follow me, you’ll know that I’ve previously been quite outspoken about my dislike with some parts of the Nexus experience. Previous Nexus devices have always had a trade off in one department or another and in the case of the Nexus 5, the camera and battery life were the biggest let disappointments for me.
However, the overall Nexus experience has been really impressive as it achieved one not-so-easy task: it bought high end flagship specs to a mid-range price point and showed that it is possible to make a popular Android smartphone with flagship specs and offer it at a mid-range price. Yesterday Google launched this year’s new [...]
O2 has confirmed it will stock Google’s new Nexus 6 smartphone and Nexus 9 tablets with both devices available on its unique O2 Refresh Pay Monthly plan.
O2 hasn’t confirmed any pricing for the Motorola-made smartphone and HTC-made tablet but did announce that it will be available on O2 Refresh in the coming weeks. For those who don’t know, O2 Refresh is a unique tariff that allows you to upgrade your contract whenever you like by only paying the outstanding hardware amount (and not your entire contract amount like other networks).
For customers planning to make the upgrade from the Nexus 5 to the Nexus 6, O2 is willing to offer up to £81 for [...]
When it comes to thinking about a new Apple device, there’s a few sources you’ll turn to but there’s always speculation as to whether these leaks are accurate are not. Apple is notorious about its security and its well known that the company hates leakers but when finding the source of the latest leak about the new iPads, they don’t need to look at all.
In a blunder completely uncharacteristic of the Cupertino based company, Apple accidentally posted a screenshot of the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 on its iTunes store on Wednesday evening. The leak appeared less than 24 hours before Apple officially unveils the new tablets, presumably [...]
